DIY Makeup Brush Cleaner
What You Will Need:
-Olive Oil (optional)
-Baby Shampoo
-Paper Towel or Clean Towel
Wet brushes hairs under warm water, making sure not to get too much water into the ferrule or the glue will loosen causing brush hairs to shred and handle to fall out.
For extra deep cleansing and nourishment, rub olive oil on brush bristles making sure it penetrates well and rinse brush.
Apply a pea size amount of baby shampoo to the palm of your hand and swirl the wet brush bristles and rinse off. If necessary, repeat shampooing to clean brushes that are still dirty. Squeeze out as much water as possible from bristles. If water is clear, your brushes have been thoroughly cleaned!
Lay brushes on a towel at an angel so water does not penetrate inside the ferrule (as shown in the picture below).
Depending on the brush size, it can take anywhere from 6 to 10 hours for brushes to dry. I usually tend to wash brushes at night before going to sleep to make sure brushes are dry and ready to use in the morning.
Deep cleansing of brushes is necessary at least 2 to 3 times a month. Foundation brushes or sponges should be cleansed once a week to prevent your skin from being irritated and breaking out.

Dupe for MAC Candy Yum Yum Lipstick
Rose Hip by Milani is the closest (and cheapest) dupe you can buy for MAC's Candy Yum Yum lipstick.
Some minor details that differentiate the two:
- Candy Yum Yum is more red based and Rose Hip has a bit of a blue undertone.
- Candy Yum Yum has a complete matte finish, Rose Hip has a sheen.
- Although both lipsticks last the same amount of time, Rose Hip needs to be blotted after application.
MAC Candy Yum Yum- $19
Milani Rose Hip- $6

DIY Hair Removal Wax- Sugaring
Sugaring is an all natural hair removal method which originated in the ancient Middle East.
What You Will Need:
- 1 cup of granulated white sugar- 1/4 cup of honey (local honey for extra sensitive skin)
- Half of a large lemon, freshly squeezed
Step 1: Combine your white sugar and freshly squeezed lemon juice in a clean microwave-safe bowl. Keep stirring as you slowly add in your honey.
Step 2: Place your mixture in the microwave and heat on high for 3 minutes.
Step 3: Let wax cool for a few minutes before applying to avoid burns.
Before applying to your hairy areas, dust on some cornstarch over your skin. Once sufficiently dusted, apply the paste and cover it with a cotton strip. Press down firmly on the strip then tear off quickly in the opposite direction of hair growth.
Quick Sugaring Tip: The smaller the cotton strip, the easier it is to rip off without tearing the skin
